Refresh, renew and bring life to any old piece of art and make it your own.
I absolutely love old floral prints and I love old frames that have seen a little wear and tear. The best is when I find both these things together.
When you find that item you’ve been looking for it’s like getting a free cupcake!
It just makes you feel so good!
Today I just wanted to share my cool find from an antique store in a small town in Kentucky.
I found this picture in the basement of a unique antique store.
The basement of this store seemed like the place they put the odds and ends that wouldn’t sell upstairs. I snatched it up for about $17!
After a bit of cleaning (it was very dirty) I decided to paint the frame.
So I taped up the glass (make sure to use the blue painters tape when taping glass because it doesn’t leave any sticky marks).
I then put a couple light coats of chalk paint on. You might notice that you can still see a little bit of the dark, which was intentional.
And there you go. I was so pleased with the result and it looked perfect in this spot of my house.
